Hey all I have an interesting idea...or at least I think it is an interesting idea....

For all those of you out there who are modifying your V's in some way. Post up what your current project is. Whether it be a major project o minor one. Feel free to post pictures and commentary and tell us when you started the project and your estimated date of completion. I am always interested in seeing what kinds of ideas other V owners are coming up with. Or even post an idea of what you would like to do and tell us about where you are with your idea. I know in the past when I had my sentra and my S-10 I was always wanting someone who could help me sort out a problem or a design flaw. Of course I am sure that everyone has run into the "well it seemed like a good idea in my head..."

Well I guess I will start.

I am startign on a little project just to make the exterior a little different. I have yet to see another modified V in my area so I am working on painting the calipers on the car. Since the car is sapphire Blue I am considering doing red to get the calipers to Pop behind the wheels.

Start: 08/07/2007 (happy birthday to me!!!)Finish: 08/07/1980

Supplies used: Assorted sockets, Newspaper, Red Duplicolor engine coating, Clear Wheel Coating.

Problems encountered during project: ??? That remains to be seen.

So, the engine paint is better than the caliper paint?

I prefer the engine paint because it dries really quickly. In my opinion it bonds to the metal a little better than the caliper paint does.

I've been thinking of a few projects that I want to tackle, all as money becomes available.

First off, I want to tint my windows. I've got 2 little kids that complain about the sun all the time (well, only one is old enough to complain, but she complains enough for both of them), and I can't stand those "baby on board" sun shades, so I figure the tint will pacify the kids and help make my V a little more visually appealing.

Other ideas on the back burner are: trailer hitch to tow a small luggage trailer, rear spoiler, fog lights, scangaugeII, new wheels, painted calipers (no particular order).

versa2nr: Are you planning on painting the rears too? I wonder what that would look like.

Well no Versa, but as many knew, I had a BIG mod that was going to be costing me close to a grand to do. Well since selling the extra set of headlights I have nobody seems to want them or buy them for one broken tab that you DO NOT see is broken once you have the finisher on the car and the radiator. I finally decided screw it, even though I don't currently have the Versa, I am going to continue the project and hope I get it back, or see if I buy a new one this time loaded and with a 6MT though! haha. If not, I am sure somebody will love em, and want to drop the money to have the one off headlights for their V!

As many of you are new, and do not know me so well, I had a mod working on getting some HID projectors fitted into the stock Versa headlights, which would have provided better output, and looked a whole hell of a lot cooler than the STOCK JDM HID projectors. I plan to open these up and reseal them with Butyl so that they are easily accessible if ever need be. I do not plan on hacking them in half as was shown in the headlight black out tut (no disrespect). I hope to keep these lights looking as clean and stock as possible.

Here are some pics of what might be going in, or maybe something better.

And a look at them mounted on my car, it is a night and day difference, the stock halogens are like candles compared to the HID projectors!

love how they look turning on and warming up, never got to upload the other vids I have, maybe if there is an interest of seeing them, I will.
