My 01 Rodeo sometimes makes a tapping sound at idle.Changing oil makes it go away for a while, but all ways comes back.Isuzu forums say oil passages clog with carbon, and to run different weight oil.Well while doing plug change,I saw carbon on pistons. Was going to do oil change so added MMO then drove 20m high speed.Coming back truck started sputtering, check engine light started flashing.Nursed it home pulled code for miss fire.Pulled plugs and one had the whole tip and electrode missing.Looking down tube, piston head was a lot cleaner..LoL

BG Quick Clean for Engines restores power and performance to your engine by rapidly and effectively removing accumulated deposits that form in the piston ring belt, hydraulic lifters, rocker arms and other critical engine parts. Add BG Quick Clean to the oil, then run engine for 10-15 minutes. When the old oil is drained, contaminants are quickly flushed away.

Sounds like MMO loosened the carbon deposits on the piston faces and valves, probably causing a chunk to hit the plug. I've seen it occur more than once, and the vehicle runs fine after plug replacement.

Turn it over for 10-15 secs with all plugs out and injector harness unplugged. That'll blow most chunks out the plug holes rather than risking getting caught in the valve seat sticking the valve open or scratching the lapped surfaces, as well as filling the cats with chunks.

Much better to use Redline SL1 or BG 44K or Techron more frequently.

MMO is just light distillates.
