mmm.. Weird Sounds

ok, so I was messing around with my car tonight.

I let it idle, and I heard the injectors ticking. I got to the front three, and the one all the way on the upper left under the manifold. The throttle cable has a little bit of play in it, should it be snug against the metal thing? but I heard a weird sound when I pulled up on the throttle cable and let go of it.. It sounded like It was popping, so I would rev it up to like 2000RPM and let off, and Id hear a "pop pop pop" and then It stops doin it.. until I gas it again. I only got 17.9MPG on the last tank.. gas light started to pulse when I was at 270 Miles. I used a screw driver to listen to the manifold, all the way to the right in between the humps I heard a "click,click" but everywhere else on the manifold was quiet.

What could the popping be.. It really sounds like It's coming from either the manifold or behind it closer to the firewall.. It's hard to figure out where Its coming from ?

Ive changed the plugs to the OEM Replacment NGKs, fuel filter, PCV valve, adjusted the idle speed, 35psi in my tires instead of 25-29 like there was in it (Fuzion HRI 16s) , added a Total Fuel system cleaner when I put my first tank of gas in it, and I run Sunoco 91 Octane.

The only check engine light codes I picked up from the ECU was the 0705 but I reset it the last time It came on and I haven't seen it yet, but I have to get it above 50MPH for longer then 10 minutes for it to pop back up.

but Im going to pick up some of that Seafoam from Autozone later on today, and give that a shot. I don't have to do a full oil change do I? I just did that like 500 miles ago..
