Has anyone ever heard of/used these guys. They want 495 + shipping to put the T28 wheel in the T25 with a rebuild.

I mainly want just a rebuilt T25 but for that price i could definatley see upgrading to the 28 wheel. Plus it would be a DIRECT re-bolt in.

I am looking into the T28 as my next upgrade also. I thought it would be more cost effective to get a s15 or skyline turbo. I am not really sure, because I have not done the research on these types of set ups.

I just plan on running 10 psi as a daily driver an 14 when I need to, without having to rerun oil lines for the turbo.

I'm trying to avoid changing my intake track any and by stuffing the T28 wheel into the T25 housing i could acomplish that.

Turbonetics might do the conversion also. I will let you guys know what i hear from them.

Thats a tempting offer...how much would just the rebuild cost on the T25?

RobDET,

I have a big-28 (t-28 wheels in t-25 housing) from Forced Performance. $795 + shipping. It's $300 more than mjm, but I can only says good things about it. Full boost starts a little over 3000 RPM and all the way to the red line.

Yeah my buddy got the same turbo from FP for his talon...and let me tell you its a huge difference from the stock T25! Probaly gonna need to rebuild the turbo or upgrade anyway so why not do both and save a small fortune...

the forced preformance big 28 looks like a direct swap for the 2G DSM. That means the outlet is all wrong for the SR. The compressor discharge flange has to come up instead of going down like in a civic or DSM.

I do not know how mutch they want to rebuild the turbo. I only inquired about the T25 -> T28 conversion.

oah BTW that price is for the work and parts only. They don't just sell you a T25/8 when you send them the 500 bucks. You have to send your turbo to be machined.

I'm talking to Turbonetics right now about something similar.

If it's MJM Turbochargers in Buhl, AL beware! We bought 3 hybrid turbo's from them last year - all 3 are now dead. My advice is to stay away at all costs, they totally blew it on our 3 turbos. On one turbo the comp blades were actually scraping the comp housing right out of the box as a 'new' rebuilt $800 turbo. JUNK.

I see the website lists them as being in CT, so this may be a different shop with a similar name. If so, man bad mojo picking that name.......

Big28 for SR fits fine, no clocking or problems with in/out flanges. Direct bolt on.

B... i'm not really looking for more than high 12's so even the T28 would be enough. I am thinking about the Big 28 tho

Rob, You are in the same boat as me. I posted on your other thread about your shaftplay and I have the same problem. I am still driving around with my turbo make bad noises and am trying to decide what to do about a turbo. I was planning on running about 12psi on my stock turbo for a while but now that is not an option. I cant decided if I should get a stock one rebuilt for around $250 or get a big28 for $850. I am stuck.

Spend another $2-300 and get a GT25R! Will still bolt up like stock as far as I know.

the intake on that turbo is totally different (at least the one from cheapturbos is different) I think even the one that almost matches still has the S15 T28 fitment issues.
