I cancelled a date for this? Ugh!!!!
So I'm staying at the La Quinta in Columbia MO, bored to tears, watching CNN and eating Cheetos. I figured we'd just show up to see the marching band and then leave (my brother's in the drumline, theyre pretty darn good).
But noooo.... the parentals insisted on watching the rest of the game to see Mizzou fall on its face -- bitchslapped by Kansas. It was cold, windy, cloudy, and now my lower back hurts. I hate football!!!!The parentals were also tired, so that ruled out us going somewhere for dinner, where I could get drunk on their dime.
Just bored and whining.

I was there too!!! I was sitting in the southwest corner of the bowl with all the KU fans. How awesome was that game? We completely destroyed Mizzou, in THEIR stadium.
How did you like our chants? It's funny how we couldn't even hear the MU fans cheering.
Rock, Chalk, Jayhawk, screw MU!!!

Hah! Small world. I thought you might have been there. I should have gotten your cell before coming to town. I was in the southwest corner in the bleachers right next to the grass.
All the Mizzou fans were pretty down in the dumps. Even the cheerleaders werent very focused. There was a brief moment where they had issues spelling Missouri with the flags -- fortunately they resolved it quickly and didnt prance down the field spelling "Misousir".
I had a water bottle full of rum, and that was the highlight of the dismal evening. Mom tried to get me into it but I sensed loss from the moment I walked in. I tried to fall asleep.
Also, my stepbrother saw a few people in "Muck Fizzou" shirts there. Is that your doing?

weve already played and won 4 games this year, two against top 25 teams. melo wasnt the only one, gerry macnamara and hakim warrik had big parts, and were actually looking good for another run this year, with mac and hakim leading the way...melo was really a fan favorite, but he wasnt the whole team by any means...the reason also we lost out last year is we had one of our starters leave the team for personal reasons, hes back this year. well see come march...
