No.

You would have a Red glow, a blue glow, and a redishblueish weird spot in the middle. If you want purple, try to find a purple bulb (do they make them?) Else, the easiest way to do it would be to buy a white LED and Purple Vinyl / Syrran Wrap and make yourself a purple bulb (little getto, but it would work)

Never tried mixing but as Curtieson said, I doubt it will work.at Oznium.com (where I got my LEDs) their flexible LED strips come in:

UV displays less visible light... its also not good to have around that often... id go with purple over UV...

UV will also show lots of imperfections on stuff which is never good!

UV is only good if you've got a lot of them. I'd say it takes at least three times as many UV LEDs to match the brightness of a single red or a blue one. They also really hurt your eyes if you look straight at them (ie. make sure you can ONLY see the glow...not the bulbs themselves). And yes, like LBC said, UV will show of damn near everything that you'd rather not see...so make sure your interior is clean. I've got a white dog and Calgary is a very dry, dusty city...when I flip on the UVs I can see every single dog hair and dust particle in my cup holders!

I've never actually seen a true purple LED though. You can mix red and blues, but it won't look "purple" (but I still think it's a neat effect...)

Ive seen purple leds!

The UV will show all sorts of weird stuff on your clothes too, detergent, fuzz and other stuff.. Id just avoid it alltogether.

Really, that is a good point. It isn't my taste so I might have shot it down pretty early...but if you like Red, if you like Blue, and if you like Purple...DO IT!!! Put them in butting up against each other, you will have a kolidascope of color, and the reason we do these mods is because we think it looks neat and personalizes the car. Can't please everyone, so you might as well please yourself.

Just make sure that pleasing yourself doesn't show up with the UV light
