mixing diesel with gas

Ok, so a friend of mine told me I should put in about .50 to 1.00$ worth of diesel in my next fill up to clean my injectors and valves, I havent found any info on this in the forums so is this guy full of ****? im not sure the science behind it so dont flame me.

never heard of it but i wouldnt do it. use that techron fuel cleaner if you cant find any bk-44 (i think thats it).

I've also never heard anything about that..

doesnt diesel have an octane rating of like 40 or 60 something??

just tell your friend youll go with him to the gas station and watch him do it first

diesel fires on a whole different timing and an alternate rpm band and some general principles behind diesel engines can be different as well.

don't put gas in your motor, just get seafoam if you want to see a smoke cloud.

diesel octane is 55 IIRC.

Diesel is less refined than gasoline so I couldn't see it helping, besides maybe if sulfer eats oil depostits.
