mixed up bearing caps

Hi, I was working on the engine head and my valve caps fell off without having a chance to mark them. I don't know if they are in the correct order, how I know where they belong. Thanks help greatly appreciated

your going to hate this man...but you are going to play the puzzle game...first thing to do...put em all back in..then put the cams in..you are going to have to check valve lash each time..then remove the cam and try to fit the bucket in its best possible place to achieve valve lash requierments..the way i did it faster is to write on tope of them with a permanant marker the thickness of the shim on top of the bucket in (mm)..that way when i meshure the lash i can quickly see what shim will be closest to my factory spec...you will get the hang of it really fast..good luck man.

I thought that they were all marked I1, I2 and E1, E2 ect.

couldn't you use a caliper and measure everything?

valve caps he said later on in his post..im assuming he means the buckets over the springs with the shim on top.
