Well I finally got the diff all apart but not without what I think maybe a huge problem. I mixed up the bearing races and spacers (For the ring gear) I can measure the thickness of the spacers and some how find some titanium powder. But what concerns me is that I mixed up the side bearing races!

How much trouble am I in?

Should I buy new bearings at $60 each?

Does anyone know the answer to this?

I will see if I can find a way to measure them and see if there is a difference.

If I recall he had a spare diff that he was taking apart.

Anyone?

I tried looking at the races and matching the wear makes to the cones but that's a 50/50 shot at best....

I am thinking about spending $100 on brand new bearings and just pressing them in. But the original ones look great. You guys want pictures?

Seems they watered down Evaporust so it will take longer for the rust to come off the output shafts... :(
