ok wow, first off idk if i spelled interchangability right but ok !!seriously, i am gettin clase to crankin his mofo up, but i got some issues, i am missing

oil pressure sensor2 water temp sensors on my rb25det intake manifold

basically i need those, and if they are interchanagable with any other motor, i did search and i noticed MOST nissan motors use same pressure seensor !!

now on top of that, since i got a rb26 harness on a rb25, i cant just eye where each plug is supposed to go, i got a majority of it sorted, ie inj, ignition, maf, cas, but idk where a bunch of the other plugs lead to and its driving me nuts, i figure some go to the water temp sensor

plus i need to score a s14 lower harness and make that work, i am fabbing up all the power cables !

Oil pressure sensors are all the same. If you happen to use a two prong one then you only need one of the pins. As for the water temp sensors, the single prong sensor should be matched with the chassis, and the two prong sensor is matched to the motor. I'm also thinking that a lot of the two prong nissan water sensors are the same as well, but don't quote me on that.

As for the rest of the harness, you should be able to find out what plugs are what by looking in the fsm. Just match the wire colors in the ecu diagram.

good idea with using color, but it s all wrapped and prepped for a show quality car, so harness looks sick as hell, and i dont wanna tear up harness, pics will explain it a lot better

First pic looks like the plug for the resistor box... check continuity to injectors.

Second pic looks like one for the aac valve (blue plug) and the other ones maybe to the boost solenoid or maybe powersteering switch.

third pic has two water temp sensor, one single prong and one double prong. Also the double prong plug that uses a metal clip is for the intake air temp sensor

fifth pic looks to be for throttle position sensor and throttle valve switch

Also the rb26 doesn't have VCT.

As for the fuel lines the longer one with the curved end should be the return

ok i have rb25 inj so i dont need that resistor box, and since i am using the rb25 aac, mine has 2 plugs so that fixxed that, i am going to plug in everything and take more pics of the unknown !!, also stupid rb25 coil packs use slightly larger plug, so i gotta splice in my rb25 ones, so that means INJ and Coilpacks need their plugs replaced

Don't take this as an insult, but how did you build such a nice looking harness with no motor to use as a reference?

i didnt build it !! Scott Buwalda did and its god like !! hehe it seems like everytime i make progress the hill gets larger lol, i wish i kept my stock rb25 harness, and kept my power fc i woulda been running maybe 2 years ago

http://www.kouki.co.uk/Reference/rbpinout.asp found that pinout too

this thread is headed nowhere. few suggestions1) don't assume things will work because you can plug them in. nissan shares a lot of plugs.2) you need to bypass the resistor box wiring whenever you identify the plug. can't just leave it unplugged or you'll have an open circuit.3) USE THE FSM and a continuity tester. figure out what plugs are what by tracing them back to the main plug on the ecu.4) 700hp isn't coming from the n1's

meh not assuming thats what everyone is telling me, and what i am reading everywhere, just i know some plugs are in differant locations like rb25 tps and rb26 tps are in dif locations thats why it s apain in the ***, the rb25 has a **** laod of harness information but stuff for the rb26 is very scarce, im gunna use the suggestion of getting color and matching it up from the ecu pinout, as far as the resistor box goes i could patch them togeather, but liek i said i havent seen a decent wiring diagram for the rb26 i got the aussie fsm and it sucks for rb26

not really sure what kind of information you're looking for on the internets there, but all you need is the r32 or r33 FSM. i don't think you'll be flipping to a page titled "stricnyne's rb25/26 hybrid tt motor swap using rb26 harness" in the fsm if thats what you're looking for.

you need the main wiring diagram that shows all the sensors and how they go back to the main plug. then you need the diagram of the main plug. that is enough information to figure out what each of those plugs you have pictured are.

post up yours or anyone's 700 hp dyno with those n1s as twins plz

i was looking for an idea where the sensors are since i never owned a rb26 heh, and it has stuff that i dont have nor need, like the air intake temp sensor, i looked at fsm and the diagram i has SUX it doesent show me where plugs go or where they need to be, combined with that pinout i and a continuity test i got SOMETHNG to work off of, but not ez at all, imma find that dyno for u

N1 will not net you 700 hp. A friend of mine just had his fully built R34 GTR with twin GTRS turbos tuned and it made a little over 700hp with C16 at about 1.6 bar. You really have to stroke the motor and run race gas to hit 700+ hp....
