hi i really need some help i have an sr20det redtop. the #2 cylinder is not firing at all. the coil and the injector are both not firing but they both work in any other cylinder. do you guys think it might be the ignitor chip or the ecu. that is what a nissan specialist told me. oh yeah and compression is good and so is the spark plug. thanks for the help

It could be a cruel coincidence, try putting a confirmed working injector in the number 2 cylinder position on the rail and see if you get fuel.

Did you check your CAS? It could have a problem and not send a proper signal when the car should fire injectors and coils for cyl 2. Hook a multimeter across the CAS leads and rotate it by hand, and see what happens to the readings. I highly doubt your ECU is fried, and if it is your ignitor it would only affect the ignition, not the fuel.

is it pssible for the (CAS) crank angle sensor to only misfire on one cylinder. if so how do i find out exactly how to test this. thanks

should i check to see if the holes in the cas for each cylinder are plugged could that cause it to not send a signal to the injector and coil
