i was informed i may have a vacuum leak, so i searched for missing hoses first. And i may have found one. Between the fire wall and the back of the engine, right below the valve cover there is a brass type metal n shape with 1 hose going to the passenger side of it. The driver side is open. I found no loose hoses and have no clue what it goes to. Nothing in the fsm, only thing close is the egr. is this supposed to be missing a hose?

feel it while the engine is runing, is it pulling vaccum? if so, then you have found your leak

hmmm, positive pressure, that means its either blowby or exhaust, those are the only 2 things that are under positive pressure that i can think of off hand right now... is the air coming out of it warm?

im gona go look at the fsm, but i doubt it will have anything due to the fact that its a different engine, do you think you could snap a pic?

a picture would help but due to the angle it would near impossible. but i think i found out what it is. the hose seems to come from the a/t and maybe a pressure release or an exhaust for the transmission.

hmmm, i have never heard anything about positive pressure being vented constantly from an A/T, but automatics arnt my strong point either... im gona look some stuff up real quick on that, the a/t section in the FSM is huge so it may be a little bit
