missing guide?

where exactly is the timing chain guide under the cover? I see the chain but dont see the guide anywhere. its a 93 se and the chain has already been replaced once by the previous owner.

i know its entirely possible that the guide was either previously removed has even fallen off but I dont even see where the guide would be attached...

Correct me if i'm wrong but isnt there a nissan service bulletin about this? I think they deemed that the upper guide between the two cam sprockets was unneccesary and prone to breaking into peices. If the chain had been replaced on your car then it's likely they didnt put the upper guide back in. Once again, I have an SOHC so i'm not completely sure. Search the web for nissan service bulletins that might help.
