Missing bumper - hit n run - 2016 QX50

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

You know the shinny silver piece at the bottom between the exhausts...yesterday the Misses came home and it wasn't there.

I think someone backed into her car and then drove away. Hit n run.

Are there any Infiniti parts experts out there who know if I can buy this part? and what exactly the part is that i would need to replace? Like a model number?

Would be grateful to any advice on fixing it. I think Geico will want a $500+ deductible

This is how it should look...

Isn't it great when people back into you in a parking lot and then break your less than 1 year old new fully loaded new car and then don't leave a note?

I ordered the parts...but it looks like I'm going to have to take off piece #1 in that diagram above, which looks like a nightmare.

Anybody got any tips on removing the rear bumper or attachment points for the 4 screws on this lower facia? I guess the screws go into the rear impact absorber.

I'm sure if i take this to the dealership and say "this broke off, here's the spare part, please re-attach it" then they'll bill me $200 in labor.

To make you feel any better. After a month of owning my 2016 QX50, someone hit and run my car which ended up costing $2000 to fix it and left me a car with titled status :wtf2: :ohno:  ! so your case is not as bad!

Really sorry to see that! For what it's worth, I hope karma catches up with the blank hole who did that.
