ok so i bought a 1992 nissan 300zx recently....my first z.... i rebuilt the engine.... new main bearings rod bearings .... pistons rings.. all new valves blah blah... i got the motor back in the car and hooked up the wiring harness.... wouldn't start... i put on the ptu and it started first turn but it ran rough...since then i have been trying different things to get it to idle good.... cylinders 2 4 6 are firing but 1 3 5 are not.... i got spark from the coil packs and spark plugs ...but they did seem a lil wet from gas... im having a mental freak out... ive cleaned connections and tried to test all the circuits i could but nothing... ran the diagnostics and got codes 12..13......21.....34.....42... so lots of issues...maybe wire harness is shot?

Seems like a PTU issue or mixed up connections somewhere. Could have pinched something on reinstall though.

I would check compression in those cylinders. If the timing belt mark on the intake or exhaust cam is off you could of bent the valves just enough to loose pressure and it wont fire. some times it will back fire and if you can get it to start it will run on cylinders 2 4 6 for a few seconds and die out.
