This morning I was at a traffic light. There were 18 wheelers in both the right and left lane (very common in Memphis). The light changed and they were both straining to get up the hill. There was a turn lane on the right that goes for only about a 10th of a mile. I whipped over there and punched it to get in front of the trucks. Lawdy...my poor little car is really anemic sometimes. :frown: I didn't think I was going to make it.

Glad you made it Becki. The 250 is not a drivetrain to put to that challenge.

How the heck could Lexus only get 204 hp out of a V6 :squint:

They want a clear differentiation from the 350. The G25 was only 218hp for similar reasons.

I'm really enjoying 24.5 mpg on mid-grade though. I have had such gas guzzlers my last few cars.

I get about 30 mpg when I'm on the interstate heading to the casino. :)

Then you should go more often and save even more money!

I get 23.5-24 on premium with the G37x, but forty miles of my fifty mile round-trip commute is interstate.

I don't have that problem... :) The car scared me the other night...went to pass someone doing 50, and the back tires broke loose. Luckily, I leave my traction control on. Oh, my traction control is 100000x better than Infiniti's, just brakes the wheel enough for you to regain control, not kill the engine. The only thing I miss is actually the fact that my wife hates driving it, so we really only have 1 family vehicle.

I let a kid in my car club drive my Camaro once...which is rare, David only drove it 2 or 3 times. I had it on firm shift. When he came back, he told me that he almost lost it because it hit 2nd in a curve and broke them loose. Of course, my '95 didn't have any kind of traction control. You did have to watch it. It could get away.

Joe....I would love to ride in your car.

I don't recall if Becki prefers manual or auto, but the 2015 WRX unveiled this week offers both. The auto is a CVT, but it appears to be the one from the Forester XT, which has been well reviewed by CVT haters like the guys at Motor Trend. Bonus: the CVT version has Variable Torque Distribution, where the manual is locked at 50:50 front:rear.

I can see one in my future. MrsMudgen is driving her 4th WRX, a 2011. She's had them since the 1st gen.

Mudge...I prefer manual, but at my advanced age :frown: I have lost my skills. I decided that my Z would be my last manual unless I ever get a 2nd car/weekend toy. I made mistakes shifting my Z that I never made before. I used to be able to outdrive anybody on a stickshift. Once again...getting old sucks.

SVT, I'm digging the new 'Stang. Maybe American muscle will be in my future. Right now I'm just pleased as punch with what I'm driving. Watching the top fold up and go into the trunk is numero uno for me right now. I really do love a convertible and don't like a ragtop.

Read that the the new stang was not mustang enough so they are sticking with some retro crap in the interior as opposed to a euro look...
hopefully the suspension will be improved with the irs...you should only get the floaty feel when on a lake.

Can you simply play $1 and then cash out each week and leave with $999?

Nope, and I don't want to either. I went down there last Sunday and spent the night. Sunday night and Monday morning I made $2600.

:woot:

I'm on a roll kiddo.

Nice

I need to get out again. I will probably be in Vegas in late January so I'll have to see how that goes.

Good luck. Where do you stay when you go out there? Planet Hollywood is our favorite. It is kinda in the middle of everything and I usually don't do too bad there.

If it's work related we have done the Bellagio the last 3 years (looks like I won't be going this year...oh well). If it's a conference I'm usually in the MGM. My wife will usually come out after I'm done with work and we will stay a few more days...We've stayed at the Golden Nugget a few times, Monte Carlo, The Hotel, and a couple times at the Hard Rock.

Good luck...have fun.

Can you believe that my hubby got me a couple of scratch off tickets for my stocking and one of those stupid things paid $500! I really hate to see this year end. I'm afraid my lucky streak might end with it.
