I missed the first scheduled maintenance. I did get the oil and filter changed from jiffy lube. Does it void the Nissan warranty? If I take my car to the dealer for the second scheduled maintenance will he accept it? Please let me know. Thanks

Unfortunately, if you miss any of the scheduled maintenances by more than 5/10th of a mile, you will void the powertrain warranty. Says so in the book.

Naaaah, I'm just razzing you. As long as you can prove the basics were done regularly (oil, filters, etc) they must honor your warranty.

as a note... if you have teh "Security+Plus Vehicle Plan" you need to be able to provide proof of all maintenance to any dealer in order to have them accept your service agreement.

(I don't remember signing up for this... but it shows my purchase price as $1 and it's good for 40,000 miles or till 5/24/2009 ... I think that Bob and Steve decided to give me this...)

So if I take my car in to the dealer this time, he should take my car in for service? I heard if you miss the first scheduled maintenance, the dealer would refuse to get the car for the next one. Please advice.

I don't think a dealer would turn down your $$. It may be more like, if you had x number of paid scheduled maintenances, then if you missed #1 they would not pay for and/or guarantee the rest of them.

as for missing the scheduled maintenance, keep in mind the interval on the V is 7,500. My dealer likes to keep it around 3,750 for mixed driving, but when I took my trip to Seattle (5,000+ miles) my dealer had no problem taking the Camel in for service.

Did I miss something? I bring my car to the dealer every 2500 miles for an oil change... they never offered any other services besides tire rotations and one air filter. Are they voiding my warranty for me?
