Car: None. Bought a 1995 240 base car NEW.

Post

REALLY enjoyed my 95 240sx(stock). Purchased new in 95 at Woodfield Nissan and drove it almost every day incl. CHICAGO winters(with heavy weights in the trunk). Loved that interior incl. the sunroof. Car RUSTED badly in Chicago and I sold it in 2008. Would LOVE to find a SOLID(and very stock one) once again. Hard to find CLEAN/non-rusted ones in Illinois, though. [email protected] :)

Michael,

My dentist buddy bought his 1991 at King's Nissan in nearby Niles, IL (now Star Nissan) brand new (I was his ride to pick it up at the dealer back then). A couple months later he moved to Seattle and drove it in salt-free roads for 19 years. Then in 2010 when I was visiting him in Seattle- he gives me the 240sx with 100,000 miles, rust-free. He had some service done at the dealer there and the employees were begging him to sell. But he just gave me the car (he is a multi-millionaire now, real estate investments...).

I drove it back and stopped at Star Nissan for a "once-over"- I had no intentions of letting them butcher the car. But there, everyone wanted to buy the car. I do my own maintenance, and only drive it in the summer. Still, no rust! I even drive it up to Lake Geneva, WI every November (before the snow and road salt) to fill up with ethanol-free gasoline. So it sits all winter with "good gas" that won't mess up my fuel injectors.

It is NOT a trailer queen! Life is too short for that....Insurance is just $280 a year, so I drive it when family and guests visit and I give them my daily driver.

Keep looking, they are out there.

They are getting harder and harder to find in good condition, much-less stock.
But as Rick said, they are out there, but you might have to look out of state to find them.
