Hey so i have an SR blacktop. lately its been giving issues. When accelerating the turbo is making a weird fluttery noise and when i look at the tach it seems to not rev quick at all... like it takes awhile for it to keep climbing... the car feels like its stuck and no boost. the bov is still shooting out air though. and its re-circulated. my mechanic told me that the car is miss firing because of the frequent "puff puff" noises in the exhaust. they told me to replace the coilpacks. im not really sure whats wrong if i need to just replace the coilpacks or get a new turbo or what? any ideas??

before you start replacing exspensive parts...pull the codes off your ECU, check injector pulse timing etc.....there could be a bunch of things wrong. good trouble shooting saves money...letting your mechanic guess doesnt.

honestly, i was having the exact same problem. turned out my ignitor was getting hot because of a bad ground...make sure hte ground from the head with the clip is connected! also make sure the ground with the ignitor is connected too.
