Message from the parents:

Our daughter, Amanda ran away on Monday. We havent heard from her since. Her friend who supposedly was in contact with her is now also missing. We have some unrelaible info that she may be in Sarasota, but we're very skeptical on that. Anyway if you can pass this info on to anyone you know. I dont know what else to do here. If you guys that haunt other forums would post there and link this it might help.

Good luck.

That's rough, wow... and to think of all the times all of us thought about running away while growing up...

Heh, thought about? I've been fending for myself since I was around 15/16. About to turn 20 and while it was a decently harsh experience, I understand more about life in general than most sub 25 year olds. Also, my relationship with my mum has never been better and I'm actually leaving to go stay with her and my sister all the way across the globe in Hawaii in about a week. (I can't afford to keep living on my own and pay for everything else that life requires and go to college, so she's letting me stay there for free. )

Some people make it out alright, but you got the idea. Most people around that age can't fend for themselves well enough to make it.

I live in Sarasota! Give me a detailed description of her and what kind of car she drives. I will defiantly keep a close look out on the streets as I practically patrol Sarasota's roads. If there is anything else I can do to help, tell me.

All of the forums I posted to were cool about it except arstechnica, which is shame because they're a positively *huge* computer forum. They didn't delete my post, but they locked it, saying it wasn't the appropriate place.

Apparently endlessly arguing over Macintosh OS X being better Windows XP or Linux pwns all is more important than someone's missing child. ***holes. At least they didn't delete the thread.

Well the "child", depends on a lot of things for a person to run away from home. Some people think of suside over running away. Eather way is bad.

Just don't know the situation.

Not my daughter (Thank God).

I got the email from a concerned member who was just trying to help "spread the word".

She is in Florida.

Posted on Toyota Nation, Supraforums and SR20forums.

I've got a friend in Jacksonville who's a cop, we'll have them spread the word.

We'll be praying over here.
