Okay guys, here's the rundown. Redtop SR20DET, using Apex-i AFC neo, and HKS Vein Pressure Converter. I've been having misfire issues on and off for the last 3 months. A few days ago on the way to work, I got a consistent misfire from cyl #3. It was idling and I unplugged coil 3 and the engine's misfire didn't change. So I swapped the coil with one from an S14 (i think, slightly physically smaller but plugged in) ran just fine after that for a couple days. Parked it and left it over night.
Tried to start it yesterday morning and the misfire has returned. This time I checked number 3 and it made the misfire worse (yey it has spark), checked number 2 and its dead. Changed the coil for another S14 coil and still dead. Swapped dead #2 coil with the #1 coil and what do you know? the once dead #2 coil is running fine on cyl #1. I took both dead coils and put them on no1 cyl and they both fire.
So I've narrowed it down to the fact that I don't have issues with the coils. I have a massive exhaust leak at my turbo outlet (where it meets the turbo) and I'm being blasted by a mist of fuel while its running.
I have NOT changed the plugs and will do so later today just to see if maybe the plugs are broken internally. They're the Iridium IX equivalent of the normal BKR7ES11 (BKR7IX11 i think...or was it BKR6...i can't remember). I really hope it's not a harness problem so I want to check everything else first. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated fellas, thanks.
