plastic?? wtf are you talking about lol. the rubber boot at the end of it on one of the plugs broke off and i ripped it taking it out and its now super glued on. but thats for a diff. cylnender. the cylinder 1 is misfiring.rioredstang wrote:Pull your plug wires out one at a time and look at the plastic sleeve that goes in the spark plug tube. They are bad to burn thru the sides and arch under loads. You should see some white spots. When you look closer you can see holes. If they are burnt then replace the plug wires with a good set.
while it was misfiring i unplugged the first spark plug wire and it didnt change at all. and did it to all the others to be safe. thats how.busteda$$240 wrote:how did you figure out that its cyl # 1 ?
ok. and the wires your talking about the injector wire rightrioredstang wrote:Sounds like a bad set of wires to me. Check injector harness plug on #1. Could be dirty or loose connector.
what he said , dont buy oreillys wires if you do buy new wires, they fall apart, buy something good like ngk they're cheapish and reliablesx moneypit wrote:Sounds like your spark plug boot is burned through.

yeah its not burn. as i said before, the only thing that happened to one was it got cut up. and that was for cylinder #2 and cylinder #2 is not misfiring! there some cheap a** spark plug wires. its getting fuel, not spark, but when i take the spark plug wire out and hit it against the cylinder walll, i can see spark. even at the distributor rotor cap, i pull it out and i can see spark.sx moneypit wrote:This one
