Misfiring cylinder #3
My 94 J30 has a misfire and im thinking its #3 b/c the spark plug is black. Ive changed the coil but it didn't change anything. Could it be the injector the problem?

To check the injectors, take a long flathead screwdriver, and place it on top of each injector. Through the screwdriver handle you should hear a constant clicking at idle -- that's the sound the injector makes while pumping fuel into the cylinder.enviro wrote:My 94 J30 has a misfire and im thinking its #3 b/c the spark plug is black. If there is an injector which doesn't sound like the others, which isn't clicking at a constant rate, then you have a bad injector. Nissan is notorious for bad injectors.

It should be 10-14ohms, then you are good.Also, if you are going to get injectors, don't be cheap, get a new unit, not a rebuilt unit. You can find new Bosch injector for under $100.
