The thread title about says it all. Ive got a misfire and i'm not sure how to clear it up.

The car starts & idles fine while dead cold but after a few minutes it develops a small miss. it then becomes more frequent and more pronounced. already checked & set the timing. but in retrospect i think i set it wrong.. warmup idle is way low and smells rich.

aside from resetting my timing and getting new plugs does anyone have any suggestions?

Clean out the throttle body and the clean the MAF for one... I don't know what it is but I have solved more problems with irratic idles and misses by doing that.

Although that more than likely won't solve anything I think you need to re-evaluate your timing.

How are you setting it?

I have a light. I set it to about 16 degress while it was warm.. then i started it up and it was missing like crazy (cold) so like the brain i am i reset the timignt to 16 while the car was in warmup mode. *d0h*

Timing, proper plugs/gap, and plugs torqued properly have caused misfiring for me in the past.
