How did you know it was misfiring? like how sure are you its a misfire? And how did you know what injector to replace? Has a mechanic taken a look at it?

also how do you know it was the injector??? first start off with the basics of fixing a misfire...new spark plugs usualy works pretty well. if that doesnt work check your coils.

It probably just needs a tuneup (changing the spark plugs and spark plug wires.) The spark plugs are always in fire and literally burn up, then they can't explode the gas in the engine with as much power. Idling doesn't generate much power to start with, bad plugs reduce even that and Presto--not enough power to even keep the engine going by itself.

Just to be on the safe side, inspect your coils as well. The coils on the VE's are known to crank (plastic case) and cause issues. You can tape them up as a temporary fix.
Besides the misfire does it idle alright or is it jumpy?
