I' have been wondering about this. Recently i fixed a Intermitten misfire problem with the coilpacks on SR20. What i did was just swap from front to back and so are the middle coilpacks. That did it, but why would swapping them front to back would fix this problem? I understand if the coilpack is weak it will not ignite that good in anywhere you put it, but doing this method fixed the problem.

Any thoughts?

Maybe re-installing the harnesses cleaned off the connectors just enough to kick up the power a bit, or you matched a weaker coil with a hotter cylinder or something, thus making it easier to combust.
