Hello there!

I have a 1991 300zx NA and it's been a pain in the a**. I have a lot of history with this car so I know the ins-and-outs of this specific 300zx.
Recently did an engine swap in it because the previous motor blew, all went swell until I got it starting.

It will idle perfectly when started. 900rpms and she sounds healthy. I can freely rev the car at any speed too and she still sounds fine.
The problem occurs when I start driving. You can warm up the car all you want in idle, it will be strong regardless. Once I get into gears and get the wheels spinning, that's when the car decides to cut power.

I'd hold my foot down on the pedal cruising 15mph at 3500rpm and the car would all of a sudden lose all of its power and bounce between 2000 - 2700. I turn the car off, let it sit for 5-15minutes, then the car repeats the same situation.

I've replaced
- MAF Sensor
- MAF Connector
- 3 different TPS
- New PTU
- New Spark Plugs

Please help, I'm extremely close on getting this car back on the roads to eat.

Did you check injectors? How many miles/years on those?

did you try checking the camshaft position sensors? Just asking due to the power reduction while driving. injectors are a good place to check as well .

I have checked injectors and connectors as well. Injectors are old 60,000 miles at least) but all tested around 11 ohms. Connectors are solid too.

I have not checked that because I’ve only been focused on it being a fuel problem. Way problems could occur if it’s a bad camshaft position sensor?

Did they test that when cold, warm, when incident is happening?
