So i turbocharged my single cam last summer and its been pretty darn good at 7 psi, more than enough to put grins on the peoples faces i run and that ride with me.

Anyways Out of nowhere i got this missfire at idle, hesitation from a stop, and a misfire at wfo after reaching full boost. Ive noticed the misfire at idle only happens when the motor is fully up to operating temperature, when this first happened i replaced the wires, plugs, cap, and rotor. It temporarily went away, but about a week later the problem came back. This was also joined by the hesitation when slowly getting on the gas from a stop, its super annoying. Then there is the w/o misfire, its weird because it will rev out a little bit and then just miss and fall on its face, sometimes if you stay into it it will clear up, other times it just continues to bog. This only happens when the engine is good and warm, Ive noticed that it usually tends to start right after it gets past 167 degrees on the coolant temp. The annoying thing is im throwing no codes that pertain to the miss, and its not consistent in any way shape or form. I also have problems with it wanting to start once hot. Im a little dumbfounded, just not sure what it could be.

Thanks for the help!
Dakota

Have you checked the ECU codes? I wonder if something like this would come up on the ECU... To me it sounds like a sensor, either CAS, coolant temperature sensor, or MAF.

Ill check codes tomorrow, I don't think i saw anything other than the usual. My crankshaft position sensor sucks as I have to replace the whole distributor, add to that they are notorious for eating them in these trucks it sucks at 235$ a pop. Ill check back tomorrow after I check my codes though.

Well, I checked the codes and all of them are emmissions, fuel temp sensor, and iacv codes. Anyway to check the cas(or crank position sensor), maf, or water temp sensor.

Premium altitude adjusted 91, but it ended up being the distributor. Put a new one in, eyeballed the timing and things are good. Doesn't seem to pull as hard but is running fantastic.
