So my car is misfireing/sputtering when I push it wide-open throttle.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0FOdObkxIE

s13 ka24de changed the intake mani gasket, tuned up with new plugs, wires, rotor, timing, egr removal,

anybody know what could be, I appreciate it?

If it's the o2 sensor how do you know it's bad?

could be the timing is off...bad spark plug..you get backfires when your not burning the fuel/air enough and the fuel hits the hot header..bang!..back fire...could allso be "Valve Float"@ high RPM's..you may need to upgrade the top end..more information is needed to dial this in bro.

thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it. I'm going to check the plugs again, do you recommend a certain brand, I'm running bosch platinum 2, I think that was a bad idea, I'm going to try denso or ngk.

if ya have new plugs in "anybrand" and are to the corect gap..then thats not your issue..you could have floated a valve and bent it a bit leaving it open under WOT...i need to know what mods ya have on this ..please add more information.

well...the only thing i can sugest..if ya can find em cheep..is some duel springs man..i think your floating the valves at WOT...duel springs will solve that..now that the economy is in pain..you might find some good deals...do that and repost on how your running..good luck

I think for the parts and the install, cause I don't trust myself, It would be best to get a newer KA.

I took the timing chain guide off and I think the ticking is coming from # 4 intake valves.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFXbtI5ahsk

Now my transmission is making a grinding like an old skate bearing sound. I think it's the throw out bearing, input shaft or synchros from what I read.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKphzMDasmA

I appreciate your time.

That sound isn't your throw out bearing. If it were the throw out bearing, you'd only hear it when you stepped on the clutch and it would go away when you took your foot off of the clutch.

try doing a leakdown test..i or compression test..ither or will tell you if ya have a valve open..if nothing..then we have a whole new can of worms.
