I'm currently rebuilding my CA and when I'm done I'm hoping to get arouund 250whp. With this increase in hp iv desided to upgrade my worn stock clutch too. My problem is that the 500 mile clutch break in (spec stage 2+) and my piston break in are opposite. With the clutch it says to take it easy the first 500 miles and to seat the rings I was told I should run the engine hard. Is there a clutch that doesn't need a break in? Wouuld a sr20det clutch plate fit with my ca flywheel and pressuure plate? Any ideas?
Also, does anyone have experiance with the horsham chips on a JDM CA? What am I supposed to do to the butterfly vacuum lines to keep them in the open postion?

Thanks for all the help so far

Easy launch + full throttle after fully clutch engaged, both conditions meet.

Most clutch manufactures say you're not supposed to give it full throttle either. This is actually a really good question. I never had to deal with before. I was always on an old/broken in motor when I put a clutch in, or was re-using a clutch if I was rebuilding the motor.

You might have to conceed to using the old clutch at low boost until the motor is broken in, and then putting the new clutch in afterwards. Sucks, but it's better than dropping a few hundred $'s on a clutch and then ruining it breaking the motor in.

Guess il just use me stock for the break in. Thanks for the input. So the person that owned this car previously messed with the vacuum lines going to my butterfly valves. It looks like it goes straight to my FPR. Im curious if this is going to work with the horsham chip??? Id like to talk to someone who has put this chip on a JDM ca to see what they did or issues they ran into. If anyone knows anyone tell them to hit me up on my email( I haven't figured ot how to message people on here yet). [email protected]
