I've had a look through this forum and I may well have missed this but.. does anyone know or could recommend some places to get a few misc parts for my Versa? I've checked eBay and a few other sites but just want be sure I'm not missing anything!

The parts I'm hoping to find would be:

New hub caps, non factory - something nicer?
Center armrest that doesn't cost $300!
Mud/Splash Guards

Any options or advice on having the power option installed would be very welcome. I'm more interested in key less entry more than power windows but wouldn't mind both. This is not a necessity, although I have discovered key less entry does have a lot of benefits! e.g. raining, dates, putting more than 2 people in the car.. etc.

I think someone just offered a set of mudguards in the FS thread (maybe Atx_Versa?).

Maybe hook up with member Broadfield in the Advertiser's Marketplace. he does moble electronics for NICO and can get you keyless entry and power windows.

I think I'm lost in the new site but anyone know how to find a member or send a message? Maybe I'm just having one of those days but I can't see any obvious way to send a message or search for a member?

For hubcaps you can get some from walmart. Or see if your junkyard has any Sentras, or another car that still have all the hubcaps taht bolt on, bolt on hubcaps are best. There's also e-bay.. lemme find the thread

Theres that thread too. I used to have a set of walmart ones on my Metro, the never fell off. I'd still say try and find a set of 4 bolt on's from a junkyard tho.

Still have no clue how to send a PM? Either I'm blind and don't see a PM button or it's not shown on this site? Anyway I'm giving some thought to having the power option installed in my 1.8 S. I'm more interested in the power locks/key less entry than windows although if adding the power windows isn't that much more expensive I would be tempted.

Do you know what kind of prices the locks and/or the windows run into and roughly how long the install takes?

Thanks, I seen the thread already. I'd rather have no caps than the junk they sell at wal-mart lol. My ex wife had a saturn (that's still running with 157k on it lmao) had bolt on caps and true enough those things never gave way. Now the Sentra caps might just work!

Does anyone have any first hand experience with this armrest being used with a manual transmission rather than an automatic. I am a little worried about my elbow hitting it when shifting.

Thanks

Are you doing the install yourself?

sorry. I've got an automatic. The base for the armrest can go in the front or rear cup holder. and the base can be installed in two positions by rotating 180 deg.. so you could pick up some space. especially if you're tall and keep the seat farther back. then the rear cup holder would be the place to position it. but $60 is allot to experiment with.

For the power option I'd have to say no simply because I've never done it before and really don't want to screw up what is a perfectly good wee car. That and every time I tried to do anything to my last car (Ford Escort) it'd just make it worse lol that car hated me! Proof of that car's hate came right after I spent $400 getting it ready to sell, stupid thing died on me! lol Shoulda kept those new tires

Thank you for the information about the mounting information. Are you satisfied with the quality and build of the unit?

The SPAL power window kits, including the switches, are roughly $150 shipped/pair depending on what switch kit you want. Power locks(actuators) are $25 shipped/pair. This also includes the cable driven brackets needed to install aftermarket actuators into that vehicle. These are the top of the line DEI actuators by-the-way. The only thing left is to decide how you want to control the locks. At my shop, we never actually install lock switches. Because for the same price as the switch kit, you could have a Viper keyless entry to control them. Or you could always do an alarm, remote start etc.

Honestly I'd be happy if I could have the locks installed in the front only. Remote/keyless to open while leaving the original locks/keys intact would be perfect. I'm less interested in having the rear open automatically as 90% of the time I don't carry anyone or anything in the back. Although if it's $25 shipped it'd be wrong not to depending on the cost of labor to install.

I'm trying to figure out the price inc labor and taxes to have power locks installed in just the front and/or front and rear. Windows would be a nice extra up front. I'm trying to formulate a prices and see what I want to spend. How long does this type of work normally take, what types of warranties come with aftermarket locks?
