I want to smoke them when I do round 2 on my tails. Trying to remove all color but black, grey, and the stock dark slate from the exterior.srwong wrote:why would you wanna take it out?
Just the signal if possible. Although taking off the mirror could work and then I could just mask the signal, but I definitely dont want to leave 'em on the car and smoke em.ms_coupelover wrote:only the turn signal? or the whole mirror?
when i got mine installed the mirror actually comes apart so just take the color cover apart its easier you dont have to worry about ruining it!DJBeasy wrote:

My thoughts exactly. This is what I did.Jose3.5 wrote:Why dont you just get some vinyl to cover them?
Considered that too, already have the spray though and Im not really a fan of vinyl.Jose3.5 wrote:Why dont you just get some vinyl to cover them?
Dangeris I'll take a look at this tomorrow in the daylight, thanks.dangeris wrote:Tilt the mirror upwards and you'll see the plastic clip of the mirror cover. Take a thin screwdriver and push on the clip and the cover will pop off enough to get you finger behind it. Then gently work the rest of the cover off. Unclip the connector from the signal and remove it. It's that easy! Now Go, Fight, WIN!!!!
The one that looks like a fork? I snapped it, haha! Everything still fit back in real snug, ssems like the 3 top and the one side nearest the body holds the most weight.dangeris wrote:The hardest part of taking the cover off was the long clip on the bottom.
Im going to get a few more pics this week. I get my new wheels tomorrow so Im going to do a bunch of pics to show all the mods Ive done since Ive been here on NICO, creepin around soaking up all the knowledge. Been about 3 or 4 months so I think Im due.srwong wrote:hm looks good. any further back pics? and how about at night? or during day, are the signals still visible?
Use lacquer thinner to take off the spray tint. You can either take the cover off again or be really super careful that you don't hit the cover.DJBeasy wrote:I might try and use my Goof Off to strip and re-spray
