Anyone now how to take out the turn signal in the side mirrors? Search turned no results and couldnt find it in any manuals. Looks like it COULD just be a screwdriver pop but dont want to risk breaking anything if its not.

I want to smoke them when I do round 2 on my tails. Trying to remove all color but black, grey, and the stock dark slate from the exterior.

Just the signal if possible. Although taking off the mirror could work and then I could just mask the signal, but I definitely dont want to leave 'em on the car and smoke em.

when i got mine installed the mirror actually comes apart so just take the color cover apart its easier you dont have to worry about ruining it!

Tilt the mirror upwards and you'll see the plastic clip of the mirror cover. Take a thin screwdriver and push on the clip and the cover will pop off enough to get you finger behind it. Then gently work the rest of the cover off. Unclip the connector from the signal and remove it. It's that easy! Now Go, Fight, WIN!!!!

Why dont you just get some vinyl to cover them?

In case anyone was wondering Dangeris' instructions were spot on...but it is a b*tch to get that first clip undone. There are actually three at the top, i popped out the middle one and then worked to the inside one, then outside. A few more along the bottom and thats it! Signal slides right out, its actually held in by the cover for the most part.

Tint is sprayed and drying!

Glad you were able to get the cover off. The hardest part of taking the cover off was the long clip on the bottom.

For you 2.5's there's only 2 clips that hold on the cover

The one that looks like a fork? I snapped it, haha! Everything still fit back in real snug, ssems like the 3 top and the one side nearest the body holds the most weight.

Finished product! Sooooooooo sex...

Im going to get a few more pics this week. I get my new wheels tomorrow so Im going to do a bunch of pics to show all the mods Ive done since Ive been here on NICO, creepin around soaking up all the knowledge. Been about 3 or 4 months so I think Im due.

As for if the signal is visible...night time a little, daytime HELL NO unless you are right up on it. I sprayed 2 coats on because I missed a tiny little bit of the end of one, but I think 1 coat would have had the same effect. I dont really mind, I might try and use my Goof Off to strip and re-spray just 1 even coat in a few months, but Ive had enough of tinting/stripping/re-tinting for a LONG time right now.

Pics to follow of the full Coupe later in the week!

Use lacquer thinner to take off the spray tint. You can either take the cover off again or be really super careful that you don't hit the cover.

Dangeris I actually had a disaster with the tint on my tails the first go 'round. The Goof Off removed 3 coats of tint and 1 coat of clear COMPLETELY with no damage to the plastic housing. I swear by the stuff now...but yes the signals will definitely come OFF the car if I decide to strip them.

Thanks for your help on this.
