I’ve noticed a weird “grinding” sound when I put my car into reverse and the mirrors auto-tilt. Wondering if there is any type of lubricant I could spray that wouldn’t damage any plastic components. Odd part is it sounds equally as bad from both sides.

Thanks in advance.

is your car under warranty?

take it in and have the dealer deal with it.

if you dont want to do that, i think there is/was a tsb on the mirrors on the 2011+. this site has the tsbs i think but if you can't find them go to x dot infinitihelp dot com and they are listed there.

Here is what I got back from the local Infiniti dealer:

If the vehicle is out of basic warranty which it appears to be on miles we would need to verify the bulletin matches the issue and put an estimate together for the repair. This may also require some diagnostic up to 130.00. Because it may have an associated TSB does not make it a warranty matter unfortunately. Thank you.
