Thanks for the compliments you all... As for the install my mechanic at Infiniti did them. I told him how other people did it but he decided on another route which was fine with me. It didn't require any cutting, or drilling so that was a plus. They actually go on top of the existing mirror. In a nut shell you take off the door panel, take out the mirror. Prep the mirror cover area, get you some heavy duty doubled sided tape, and attach the cover. Some people drill a hole behind the back of the factory cover but he instead put the wire in at the bottom in between where the bolts go to assemble the mirror. But if you're one of those people who fold their mirrors in while parking this might not be an option. After getting the cover attached, remove the speaker in the door panel, run the wire under the opening then back up and run the wire through the engine bay. And from there run wire up to your headlights. Remove headlights and tap into the turn signal and you're done. Word of advise test that the lights work before putting the door panel back on. We pinched part of the wire and had to back track, but other than that it was simple.... As far as cost, they were $260 shipped from Japan to me, $30 at Infiniti to have them painted and I gave my mechanic $50 to put them on. I was there a total of two hours, but that included stopping to eat and playing around the shop messing with people. So roughly I would say it should take you 1 1/2 hours maybe even shorter than that. "Hardest" part is taking off the door panels and headlights, well should I say the most time consuming.
Romeo5k hope that helped, and thievery will not be toleranted
Qproject yes the power mirrors still work as the they are only covers
