Just the light that says "brake"?

If thats the case you probably have a tail light out.

Without knowing for sure which light it is I can't say for sure but if it's going on and off it's most likely the brake fluid level sensor setting it off. Check you brake fluid to verify.

Yea well it could be fluid, something broken on the system (i.e. failing caliper) , ebrake being too loose or becoming too loose to function, and a brake light being out (or corroded, or loose, etc)

I seem to find that people overlook the third brake light in checking for an out light a lot so make sure you see that too. I also hear of a bad connection back there over time that can make it possibly work sprattically like you say too.

Let us know

Yea its the light u specified. I am having problems with my front right side brakes. The brake fluid is also dirty. Could these be the problems making the "brake light" come on? because i dont notice any of the tail lights be being out.

yea, welcome to caliper land. Mine cut out at 117k of use. So I would check pads and listen for squeaking like worn pads when you press the brake. If you hear any noise like that constantly you could be looking at a frozen caliper or one that is starting to seize.

If you are not wanting to check it yourself, I recommend car-x or your local religously visted shop.

at a min, change your brake fluid if you know how properly
