Being a new member on here I just wanted to show you guys a few minor mods I did.I'm not really into modifying vehicles for performance, usually I'm looking for looks. This is just a small hobby of mine I'm just starting and am still learning.

Looks good, you're on your way. I suggest that the next thing should be a drop.

Thanks for the props YoungCoupe.

Yes, you are right with the suggested drop. As soon as I put the rims on that is the first thing I was thinking.

I've read through the forums and see that dropping my Coupe looks pretty straight forward and if it isn't then I maybe calling the emergency services to bail me out..... I think that I may tackle that within the next few weeks.

Damn, if that was my car I'd hide it from evil eyes. It's just to freakishly shiny and clean. But yes, very nice choice of color in wheels, and the red calipers look good. Plus the front end on the '10 just looks the best to me so that doesn't hurt. ;)

Thanks CoupeVQ35CVT.

Next weekends project is some Spec-D® - Smoke Fog Lights and DDM HID Kit With Slim Ballast for the front.
Gonna kill two birds with one stone when I take off the bumper and splash guard. This is gonna get interesting removing the bumper I reckon but if it comes off easily then putting it back should be a breeze.

If it all goes well then pictures will follow as soon as they are on.

I'm diggin the red calipers. Are those just caliper covers or non-stock brakes? Either way, where'd ya get em?

They were the existing calipers on my AC.
All I did was buy the Dupli-Color Caliper paint and give them 2 coats after a good scrub and clean.

I think they came out pretty well and now they look brand new with a good shine to them.
Total time spent was just over 3 hours from start to finish.

Toying with blue LED's today and am not sure yet if I will keep them.
I will see after a month if this is the way to go.

I had blue LEDs for a bit. I decided to go for a cleaner look though and changed them to white. All personal preference.

Lights all came at once today so the next mod is putting them all on this weekend.
HID's, Fogs, and LED strips.

Electrical mayhem time and don't be surprised if I end up with an afro after switching them on....lol

So my AC is now coming along nicely with some minor cosmetic changes over the last few weeks. I am now getting the itch to blacken out the front grill and going with a black badge with red lettering.

This maybe my next cosmetic project this weekend.

Its coming along very nicely. Unless you like the chrome around the grill, I same color match it to your car. Thats what I did =)

Thanks mikethemike.

That piece of chrome on the car to me looks out of place and ugly.
I'm going to blacken out that and redo the badge.

Project for the weekend is already in motion,I guess.

That'll look good. I've blacked out every single piece of chrome on the exterior of my car

After a good cleaning, some sand papering, priming, and 2 light coats followed by 3 strong coats, here is the finished product.
I am going to leave it for a week before I add some clear coat just to get a better finish and extra protection from chipping.

Next mission will be the black badge paint with red lettering.

If anybody is thinking of doing this to their grill, then the keyword here is preparation. If you spend some time on the prep work then the finished article will be worth it.

New look front badge.
I decided to paint just the letters on the emblem first and see how that looks.

Some high gloss red paint, a sharp razor blade, a steady hand(no alcohol intake the night before helps), and some masking tape and the end result looks like this.

I am thinking this don't look to bad with the chrome silver outline even though a black outline would bring out the red lettering more.
What you guys think?

The front of my AC looks like it needs some more aggression.....A Front Lip spoiler could be the fix for that.

Not bad. Hit up a local hardware store for some bumper plugs. They dont call em that but they are plastic plugs.

Otherwise, it's coming along pretty good I'd say

Get rid of the blue interior LEDs ASAP, or at least switch them out to 4300k-5000k LEDs, if you insist on using LEDs that emit a blue hue. The color you have makes the interior look a bit to juvenile and probably degrades night visibility a great deal. :gapteeth:
