I just have a quick question about the throttle modification. There is a little restricting square pin that sits in the throttle assembly that doesnt allow the cable pulley to open the throttlebodies fully (about 95% when WOT). If i get rid of the pin, I should theoretically gain more horsepower right? Is this safe or will my A/F ratios be discumbobulated at WOT ? And what slight increase would I expect with the additional 5% more openness, if any? My theory is that it might either work or induce turbulence.

If I am understanding correctly, I think this write up will tell you all you need to know:

But you need to know how to calibrate the TPS after doing so.

That was exactly what I was talking about, thank you. Even the write up is skeptical about this mod it seems. I shaved the pin down anyway, I will let you guys know how it works out.

n/a maybe, but Im hoping that since I have the turbos shooting more air in at WOT that it might give me a tiiiiiny increase in the higher rpms? Maybe im just being naive. Its not like a major mod but I figure might as well?

from what ive also read it had the possibility of being less efficent. the slight angle that the throttle body is at faces down toward the pipe that is moving the air upward toward teh trottle body. no harm either way. go ahead and do it and let us know how much hp you didnt gain

Removing the square part by filing won't give you more hp because the throttle is fully engaged at the point where it touches the square peg. If you have the TT model on the other hand you will see that the throttle doesn't go all the way to the peg, and instead shops a couple mm short. This is because there is a small bolt that prevents it from touching the peg, you can take it off using a 10 or 12 mm socket ( one or the other). I believe the writeup mod was intended to address this issue, though it isn't very descriptive. Hope this helps.
