So yeah, got distracted (some 75-80 year old guy not knowing he was in a turning lane and tried to pull into my lane when I was passing by) and ended up rear-ending another lady. No damage to her car, only a few little scraps on mine, i'll post a pic when it stops raining.

It seems like it's just the wax (I hope!). I guess I finish out EV's accident theroy, lol

Glad to hear that the V is OK and more importantly that you are OK also.

Any ideas on how to fix that myself? I'm thinking maybe just some touch up paint. Either way I'm going to get the nose mask eventually so you probably wont even be able to see it.

Hard to tell from the pic... is the top of the bumper actually distorted? Cause you'd have to replace the whole bumper skin for that.

Otherwise, if the nose mask covers it, I'd just say leave it. Without appropriate priming, the touch-up paint won't stick well to the plastic bumper, so it would be just a temporary fix.

There's no denting or anything, if you run you're hand across it you can feel where the scraps are on the lower part. The upper part feels smooth though.

First make sure it's a scratch and not a paint transfer from the other car. If it is a paint transfer, then there's a cream you can buy to buff it out. If they are actually scratches in the paint deep enough then: Prime them, Paint them, Put clear on them. After that it should blend in with the other paint. If you're going to get a bra anyway, just cover it up like EV says. You'll save time and money.
