I'm fairly certain my car has that sony headunit installed where the 94 cupholders are. I am thinking of putting it there. Right next to the oem height adjustment. I think it is probably the same size as that sony cd HU changer...

In the paypal transfer I included the Las Vegas address, so they will be able to install it for me and tell me how well it works, etc. The car will *cross your fingers* hopefully already have some nice rims on it by then (18s or 19s) so we'll be able to see how it looks at stock height vs lowered... should be classy... Hopefully when I get the car back up here I'll fab the ashtray install.
The trip is almost starting to look doubtful for the beginning of July as the dealership STILL has the car and STILL hasn't looked at it! Arg!
Mounting it where you're thinking should work just fine. I don't know if you'll need any sort of spacers to make it fit or not though... the bright blue LCD display will look very good there IMO. It'd look even better if you could find a HU with a matching blue and a classy appearance.

I was also considering putting it where the hvac controls are, relocating hvac controls to one of the dins, and filling the remaining din with a headunit..
