Well, testing the new agx in the stiffest settings, I decided to go and try them out in this industrial complex I know (uninhabited and somewhat sandy)... anyways, I take a turn, and oversteer, try to correct way too much, and end up in the classic backward 180 and over a "sidewalk" (more like a thing for trees.) This was by no ways an induced drift, just testing which resulted in me losing the tail, which resulted in a busted wheel, tire, rlca, and who knows what else. Well, i'm sure some have had identical situations. So I'm asking what you guys did about the mounting point where the lower control arm attaches to the chassis and gets split by the impact.. My brother had the same situation not 8 months ago, in the same corner, and the same damage... bent lower control arm, curve damage, and that frame mounting point splitting.

I'm guessing the only way is to bend and reweld? I know the arm can go in no problems, but there's a small (about 1.5+ deg) camber issue.

Anyways, I'm attaching damage pic, and ghetto fix which brought me home...

PS: anyone w/a cheap rlca (left side) contact me here or at [email protected]

You said the frame mounting point spliting, are you taking about the rear subframe or the uniframe. If its the rear subframe, I would start looking for a new rear subframe. The subframe comes out with 4 main bolts. Sorry to hear about the damage, it happens. Nick

it's a bracket welded to the rear end tubing. I've thought about getting another rear end, but if a big hammer and a welder can fix it, I'll go that route...

Hmmm... what can't a big hammer and welder not fix?
