is there anyway to get the glue off the chip without hurting anything, so i can resocket it and get a new chip.

never heard of this, is it possible to melt or soften the glue with heat? Maybe a solder iron?

solder iron just burns it. its white epoxy. not like hot glue that you can melt its solid like jb weld 2 part epoxy
