Guys, Awhile back a friend of mine left an SR cpu at my house. He moved away so I basically inherited a cpu

On the outside it has written "mines plate inside" and when open you can see an extra "chip" or "plate" on the inside. Is there anyway to see what it is tuned for? Can I sell it like this or is it worthless?

Also, it doesnt have that fancy plaque on it..

I have a mines ecu on my car. I know from personal experience they can be extremely different. Also the ECU is normally tuned for 100 octane. Make sure you know what you have before you sell it they can be a pain.

That would be a logical idea, but he doesnt know either. Actually it came on an engine that he planned to put in his car but ended up selling the engine and transmission, but the cpu somehow stayed in my car..

The stock serial number remains on it but nothing additional.

Actually, the Japanese are on a different "octane rating" scale. Even though they are "reading" 100 octane over there, it is almost identically comparable to our 93 or 94 octane here in the US.

RB20DET: I would recommend to NOT using that MINES ECU as you do not have any idea as to what it is tuned to. It could be tuned for 550CC injectors, Z32 MAF, upgraded turbo specs, more aggressive or more lean air/fuel maps, no rev limiter or upgraded rev limiter (dangerous on stock head), etc etc etc.....

you might want to talk to enthalpy or someone else who tunes ecus. they might be able to take a look at it and tell you.
