Yeah, a friend of mine built a pretty lengthy minecraft roller coaster. We sat around playing on it for a while, and made this video of it:

That was pretty awesome.

I am guessing this is on some sort of server and not a save game?
I haven't been up on my minecraft in a while but they haven't been able to come up with a solution for uphill riding with out boosters?

Also can a mine track go through a "evil gateway" (not sure what they are called) and continue riding on the other side?
I think it would make for an awesome MineCoaster 2 video.

"Hell" doesn't work in multiplayer, but in singleplayer, minecarts won't go through the portals. You glitch out and have to re-log.

And yeah, it's a server run locally. We both have a couple of servers running on our machines (I have a laptop running linux that would be a dedicated Minecraft server if it didn't get terrifyingly, fire-startingly hot after a couple of hours). It's not a custom map or edited or anything like that. We used the "give" command in the server to obtain all the cobblestone and other materials, but built everything manually. Lots of trial-and-error, especially with the "boosters."

Took me a while to get the hang of how minecarts and tracks work as well...South-West and slope rules....gah.

He's using xsSheep's RealPack. I like it, but prefer the Painterly Pack, primarily due to its insane customization options.
