I had seen this before and figured it out. It turns out its just a math trick with cleverly designed tables or sumthing. The symbol it picks is on a select bunch of numbers but all those numbers always have the symbol. So 11-1-1 is 9 and 9 always has the symbol. Evertime you icrease one number so does the amount it decreases by so 12-1-2 still equals 9, 13-1-3, 14-1-4, etc.. Sorry if i dont make sense, i find i usually do

yeah, but 23 = 18, not 9. this doesnt make sense!!!

Like blackflag said,if you use any number from 10-19, the answer is 9.10 - (1+0)=911- (2)=912 - (3)=9, etc

from 20-29, the answer is 18 (2x9).30-39 is 2740-49 is 36

they do put that same 'magic' symbol by other random numbers to throw you off...
