Oh come on, everyone knows that the statement was concerning upseating Saddam himself. Granted, we should not have stopped and stood around waiting for Iraqi people to jump into a true Gov't after so many years of abuse. We should have continued to be on the offensive.

I appreciate that these discussions tend to polarize people, however, we need to focus more on the issues than the parties involved in the discussion. This is a new forum and a test of sorts for NICO. I would hate for us to lose this avenue because too many arguments were carried to a personal level. The forums policy is to attack a persons position, not the person.

woah dude lets not get all republican on everyone lol, but i am conservative but i think a lot of liberal ideas could be good if they worked how people said they would, yet sadely i would say 60% if not more of our government officials only act for their own means. i support the troops all of them i however think the war was not good for this country. now i recognize our need to stay there for now but we do need a solid plan to keep things under control or we are just wasting money and time. MAny troops also do not want to be there fyi they think they are fighting a forgotten war
