I have an infiniti jx35 and the mileage trip counter resets every time I start my car. What would cause this? I know if the battery was disconnected for any reason this would happen but that is not the case here.

The cluster has 2 fuses, one ignition and one battery. If the battery fuse is blown then the cluster will still work but will lose its brains when the ignition is turned off.
