Hey, im new here at Nico and i just bought a 2003 350z (pics will be up ASAP), however i noticed a small problem that hurts my wallet at the pump. For some reason im only getting between 12-13 mpg when the normal mpg should be around 18-19 on the streets if im not mistaken. I haven't been driving crazy and I know it isnt my driving skills so i fear it might be a problem with the motor? Any help would be appreciated

Auto or manual?

If manual could be your driving skills. If auto could be a faulty torque convertor. Or engine-wise it could be tune up parts, egr, ecu, any number of sensors.

What kind of gas do you put into it? Hopefully premium which is what it requires.

Best bet is to take it to a dealership and have them run a diagnostic on it, costs like $80 or something like that.

Also check your air filter. I recommend a K&N if it needs replaced, or if it is reusable get a cleaner kit and take care of it. You probably already have looked at it, just a reminder. That may not be the only problem if the air filter was dirty. If it was dirty then watch your MPG's and see if that helped any, may save you money on a mechanic. GOOD LUCK, and let us know what it is.

Replace the o2 pre cat sensors and the fuel filter. Make sure there are no codes first, if so, correct them.
