Ok, I never really paid attention to this before I think my counter is not in sync with the odometer.

Let's say my odometer is reading 100.0 miles and the white digit is at 0. and the mileage counter is say 100,000 miles.

Drive the car and when the white digit (zero) reaches a full revolution the odometer will add one mile to now read 101.0 miles.

I watched my mileage counter and it did not add the mile when the white digit reached zero, instead is added it when it reached 4. Is this correct? I thought when the white digit hit zero it added one mile to both the odometer and the mileage counter at the same time? Am I missing something here?

I just swapped in a manual trans but everything seems to work ok. My speedometer and tach seem to be correct. I used same year trans and sensors and lower harness. Any ideas?

watch it for a few miles, if the odometer chages when the white number is on 4 every time then it is ok. if that is the case your trip odometer (counter) just got reset. imagine this you just got your car and drive 100.5 miles so both counters are at 100.5 (the odometer won't show the .5 but it is on there). Then you reset the trip odometer so it reads zero. Now when you drive they are both getting the same amount added but the white number is off from the odometer by .5 because it started over at 0 when the other one was still half way to 1 (even though it doesn't show it.)

If it doesn't change at the same amount everytime, like the odometer changes when the white number is at 4 then (without reseting the counter) it changes when it is at 5 you have a problem.

Yeah, that's it. I watched and it they both add the same amount of miles. I was just over thinking this. I forget everytime I zero the odometer is starts at that point. :oface:pface
