I thought that i would update and say that I found a place that i like. Only problem is that it is not in a great neighborhood. Not a BAD neighborhood, but not a great one either.
Most of the cars in the parking lot seemed to be older cars, and not in great shape. It was clean, however, and was pretty big. I can have my dog, and there are a few police officers who live in the immediate area.
It is a little more expensive than we wanted to spend, but water and heat are included in the rent, plus it is closer to work and school for my wife and I. Also, i don't have to take the toll road. Between gas and toll savings, that should be about $100 a month saved.
Might have found an apartment...
Well, we went back to sign the lease and the unit that we wanted was taken, so we went with a similar one that had no washer and dryer inside. Unfortunately, we need a place by Aug 1, so we had to take it. There is a chance that we will be able to move into one w/ a W&D in a few months if one opens up, but no promises. It is better than nothing, I suppose...
