Well on a local forum a guy has a Ca with a blown headgasket and it is in pieces. He said he would put it together for 800. Actually here is the message he sent to me.

Seller-IT IS APART RIGHT NOW BUT IT WILL BE FULL SWAP (ENGINE WITH PORTED HEAD, WIRING HARNESS, ECU, MAF, FUEL PUMP, TOP AND BOTTOM MOUNT TURBO HEADER, ARP HEAD STUDS) LESS TRANS BUT KA TRANS BOLTS UP. I HAVE A REBUILDABLE TRANS (2ND GEAR GRINDS) ALL WILL GO FOR 500 AS IS OR 800 PUT BACK TOGETHER

So should I or wait..

idk if i would trust a ca unless you are for sure of the mileage because you cant deny that the ca is a very old motor, unless you plan on building it anyways

Hey smurf can you tell me whats difference between a 1990 JDM CA18DET compared to a 1991 JDM SR20DET?

OR How about a 1994 EDM CA18DET compared to a 1991-1992 SR20DET?

I talked to a few friends and they all said it seems to sketchy. And no I dont know the mileage and my friend suggested that since you can get them off ebay all day long for a 1000-1200 and it will have at least a 30day warranty so I ll just go that route.

O and thanks smurf for pointing out the milesage thing it didnt even cross my mind till you said that.

well in Europe they were in the 200sx until the S14 models came out which had the SR20.

But my point was about the age, you never hear SR20's being old etc etc but when you compare the difference of years its not by much some being even months.

^ tru tru but regardless you really cant tell the exact mileage of any motor you order unless you were there when they pulled it out of the car they got it from.
